Ithaca Island
Ithaca: the island of Odysseus
On the island of Odysseus there are many beautiful beaches that combine clear blue waters with lush vegetation. Some of them are accessible only by sea transports. Get an idea below:
Platis Ammos
This is one of the most beautiful beaches of Ithaca which is located at the northernmost point of the island near Afales beach. The beach offers unique images as its transparent turquoise waters and the white vertical rocks that stretch behind it create an exotic landscape. Access only by sea transports.
Gidaki
Another special beach located in the southern part of the island. It combines blue colors of water with rich natural vegetation and total-white pebbles. Perfect suggestion to swim in beautiful waters.
Kaminia
It is located in the southeastern part of Ithaca with green waters. It is worth visiting. A beach for the real relax.
Marmagas
Here you notice something remarkable. At the bottom there are small pebbles that shine like marble. Τthat’s why named it that. The word Marmagas in the Greek language looks like with the word Marmaro which means marble in English language. In front of the beach there is the islet where the church of Agios Nikolaos is located, which contributes to the special landscape.

The intense vegetation offers a special experience. You can use the vegetation for natural protection from the sun. The landscape is magical.

It combines sand with total white pebbles and is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Greece. It has wonderful blue waters and on its "back" very high cliffs, which offer shade in many places.
Kaminia
Kaminia is in the SE part of Ithaca near Nisopoulos. The thick white pebbles, the crystal clear blue waters and green nature, will enchant you.
Marmagas
The natural beauty, the white pebbles and the turquoise waters will enchant you. Large eucalyptus trees offer natural shade and coolness as they reach the edge of the sea.
Skinos
The beach is a real challenge for the visitor, who will spend his day enjoying the crystal clear waters of the sea. Pine and turquoise waters compose a unique setting, where calm and serenity prevail.
